An Open Letter From Equatorial Guinean Presidential Candidate Gustavo Envela to The United States of American President Barack Obama: “YOU CAN DO MORE”

The White House
1600 Pennsylvania Avenue
Washington DC (USA)

January 10th, 2011

ATTN. Mr. Barack Hussein Obama, President of The United States of America

Dear President Obama,

Firstly, I want to express my sincerest best wishes to the family of US Representative Giffords, no political affiliation is necessary, as well as the remainng survivors of the recent tragic event of “home-grown terrorism”, once again taking place on American soil.

The country of Equatorial Guinea sends it prayers and best wishes to the United States and its citizens, resting assured that the WORLD stands by the tenets of Freedom, Democracy, and all that such liberties expose law abiding individuals/civilians to a daily basis-both positive and negative.

Secondly, President Obama, as you prepare to deliver the STATE OF THE UNION in a few weeks, IT IS MY DESIRE AND THE DESIRE OF THOSE OF US WORKING ASSIDUOUSLYUNDER THE MOST DANGEROUS CONDITIONS ON EARTH, TO BRING ABOUT AN AFRICAN FORM OF DEMOCRACY, IN THE REPUBLIC OF EQUATORIAL GUINEA, IN THE 21st CENTURY.

Thirdly, as you well know, Mr. President, I have had the distinct honor and pleasure, as an Permanent Resident of The United States of America/Citizen of The Republic of Equatorial Guinea of advising the Presidential Administration of Bill Clinton as well as that of George Walker Bush, among other nations, on matters of NATIONAL SECURITY TO THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA AND THE REPUBLIC OF EQUATORIAL GUINEA.

Frankly, speaking President Obama, I have been extremely disappointed from 1992-2009, UNTIL NOW as to the BLATANT FAILURE OF UNITED STATES FOREIGN POLICY AS IT RELATES TO THE CONTINENT OF AFRICA, generally, and THE REPUBLIC OF EQUATORIAL GUINEA-specifically.

From the genocides in The Congo, to the completely abysmal carnage of Rwanda, it appears, to the world at large that THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THE LIVES OF AFRICAN CHILDREN, AFRICAN WOMEN, and especially AFRICAN MEN.

Fourthly, Mr. President, despite the fact that your father was a Kenyan, YOU OWE NO SPECIAL DUTY TO AFRICA,or for that matter AFRICAN AMERICANS. For those who do not realize that you are the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA-in all of its hues, religions, party affiliations (yes, the Tea Party is rightfully included), then you are dealing with “short sighted individuals whose vision of humanity is jaundiced by their racism, religiousity, or party loyalties.”. In short, FOOLS.

Fifthly, however, Mr. President, when speaking to me, Gustavo Envela, in the very near future, about the importance of fortifying United States bi-lateral relations with The Republlic of Equatorial Guinea, you shall not be speaking to a FOOL. I care very deeply and value my UNENDING LOYALTY IN PROMOTING, PROTECTING BOOTH US INTERESTS IN Equatorial Guinea and the Human interests of the country’s 700,000 citizens, that words in the English, Spanish, French, Hebrew, German, and Kombe languages-combined could in now way begin to express the manner in which I SHALL ONE DAY GOVERN THE REPUBLIC OF EQUATORIAL GUINEA-FREELY, FAIRLY AND DEMOCRATICALLY, should my fellow citizens humbly bestow that honor upon me, from the transparent ballots boxes as opposed the terror-laden cases of the empty casings of bullet boxes.

Sixthly, with all that being said, President Obama, I must confess, YOU CAN DO MORE, Mr. President, when dealing with the political crisis that is looming in my native country of Equatorial Guinea.

YOU CAN DO MORE, Mr. President, based on only the 1/100,00th of the documents that I have included in the “unusual and uncustomary email to a sitting President of the United States of America” yet highly necessary being that we live in dangerous and uncertain times, where the public, who have voted some of us into office, have demonstrated the mighty force of democracy during the past November elections held in the United States of America.

YOU CAN DO MORE, Mr. President, by PUBLICLY CONDEMNING the DICTATOR, TERRORIST SUPPORTING, HUMAN RIGHTS ABUSING, PETRONALIZING ASPIRING (as you can see the price of oil and gas are fastly on the rise), and ANTI-AMERICAN ESPOUSING, TEODORO OBIANG NGUEMA MBASOGO, President of The Republic of Equatorial Guinea since 1979 to the present, with the help of the likes of Special Advisor to President Bill Clinton, Lanny Davis.

YOU CAN DO MORE, President Obama, by calling out President Obiang to STOP ARRESTING OPPOSITION LEADERS; STOP ALLOWING THE REPUBLIC OF EQUATORIAL GUINEA AS BEING A HAVEN FOR HEZBOLLAH, MEND, and AL-QAIDA; STOP ALLOWING THE COUNTRY TO BE A MAJOR TRANSSHIPMENT HUB FOR NARCOTRAFFICKERS FROM SOUTHEAST ASIA, THAT USE THE NATION-the size of Maryland, as being a refueling stop, along the path of NARCO-TERRORISM.

Seventhly, Mr. President, you have been actively involved in monitoring the crisis in the Ivory Coast, a situation that the African Union and ECOWAS has DESPERATLEY FAILED in OUSTING THE LOSER OF THAT ELECTION, former President Laurent Gbagbo. It is an embarrassment to see how African Dictators do not know how to manage a situation, which my 10 year old daughter could mediate, while watching the Cooking Channel.

Eightly, Mr. President, contrary to the tone in this letter, I HAVE FAITH IN YOU, YOUR LEADERSHIP, YOUR VISION, and YOUR LONG TERM STRATEGY, in the totality of your Presidential circumstances. However, unstable and anachronstic despots, whether in Africa, Europe, Asia, South America, The Middle East, etc..have no place in modern politics. But. as the son of Equatorial Guinea’s first United Nations Ambassador, Ambassador/Reverend Gustavo Envela, Sr, I AM IN NO WAY NAIVE TO THE THEATRE OF INTERNATIONAL POLITICS. Not now, not ever.

Ninethly, it is with great alarm and a spot of sadness that we discovered, today, January 10th, 2011 that after 10 years as an OFFICIAL AT THE EQUATORIAL GUINEAN EMBASSY in Washington DC, that Mr. Fernando Nsi, who has and had been a great SOURCE of “intimate and specific information as to the activities of THE GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF EQUATORIAL GUINEA, has unexpectedly relocated to South Africa.

I hope, Mr. President, that you will join me in wishing and thanking Mr. Fernando Nsi for all the efforts he put forth in assisting me in becoming the FIRST DEMOCRATICALLY ELECTED PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF EQUATORIAL GUINEA-sooner, rather than later.

Tenthly and lastly, Mr. President, I “HOPE” THAT YOU WILL READ THIS EMAIL-with the below materials, knowing the “CHANGE” is on the way in The Republic of Equatorial Guinea–A FACT THAT I HOPE YOU WILL REFER TO IN COMING WEEKS IN YOUR STATE OF THE UNION ADDRESS.

I, Mr. President, and 700,000 oil-soaked Equatorial Guineans, shall be watching, HOPING, and PRAYING, that YOUR WORDS have NOT CHANGED, too much, when you TOO WERE A PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE, FACING SEEMINGLY IMPROBABLE AND COMPLETELY IMPOSSIBLE ODDS.

And then the American People “Spoke” through their votes…….

Respectfully and Humbly Submitted on Behalf of The “Voiceless” Citizens of The Republic of Equatorial Guinea,

Gustavo Envela

Presidential Candidate
The Republic of Equatorial Guinea
